Craigleith Flats, Potts Point
Auction SOLD

Built in 1912, Craigleith Flats is one of the oldest multistory buildings in Potts Point. The Georgian Style property with seven apartments is up for auction next month.

Although there is very little information on the original architects, in 1934-35 some alterations were carried out by architects Eric Clark Pitt and Charles Clarence Phillips. Pitt and Phillips were responsible for the Macleay-Regis Apartments just around the corner.

The flats and 247 sqm block of land are all held under one title. The building, which has been renovated, has 4 x 2-bedroom units and 3 x 1-bedroom units. There are also two lock-up garages.

Craigleith is 200 meters south of the historic Bomera and Tarana mansions.

Auction

The auction is scheduled for November 5.

In 2007, No. 12 sold for $1.99 million and No. 14 sold for $3 million. Both were on 247 sqm blocks of land.

*Update: This property sold in November 2012 for $4,500,000.
