Dorothy Manor, Centennial Park
Dorothy Manor, Sydney
Dorothy Manor is a Federation Queen Anne Style home in Sydney’s Centennial Park. The single-storey home was built in 1907 for Mrs. Caroline Gordon, and is one of the two earliest houses to be built on Robertson Road.
The area was subdivided in 1905 to fund the landscaping and development of Centennial Park. Most blocks in this particular enclave are between 700 and 800 sqm, with the exception of a few double blocks. The grand historic homes can sell for between $4.5 million and $10 million.
This particular home has had the same owner since 1977. It was put on the market in January 2013 at an undisclosed price.
Its immediate neighbor on the NE side(No. 3) last sold for $1.44 million in 1998, while No. 7 on the SW side sold for $3.54 million in 2002. More recent sales in the street have been between $4.45 million and $6.5 million, so its possible this house may sell somewhere in the middle.
